Cookies
This page lists every cookie and browser-storage entry that www.umpublish.com sets, what each is for and how long it lasts. We use no advertising or analytics cookies, and no third-party cookies are set while you browse or listen.
Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ump_session | Keeps you signed in after you sign in. | Strictly necessary | 30 days (7 days for administrators), or until you sign out |
ump_lang | Remembers the language you chose with the language switch. Set only when you choose one. | Preference | 1 year |
ump_cid | For visitors without an account: a random identifier that remembers where you stopped in a title and counts your play of it once. Holds nothing about you. | Functional | 1 year |
Stored in your browser
The player keeps its settings (volume, speed, voice enhancement and background ambience volume) in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and stay until you clear your browser data:
ump_volume, ump_speed, ump_enhance, ump_enhance_amount, ump_ambience_vol
Third parties
- YouTube: every title plays from our own servers and no YouTube player is embedded. Some title pages have a Watch on YouTube link; YouTube sets its own cookies only if you follow it, under its cookie policy.
- Google Sign-In: only if you use Continue with Google, Google loads its sign-in button and may set cookies on accounts.google.com under its own policy.
We do not use Google Analytics, advertising networks, tracking pixels or social-media widgets.
Android app
The Android app uses no cookies. It keeps your sign-in on your phone, encrypted and excluded from device backups.
Managing cookies
Our cookies are needed for the features above, so we set them without asking. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time: deleting ump_session signs you out, deleting ump_lang returns to all languages, and deleting ump_cid makes the player forget positions for visitors without an account.
