Owen Wingrave

Listen to *Owen Wingrave* by Henry James, a taut and haunting story of duty, inheritance and a family house that will not let its dead rest. Owen, the last hope of a long line of soldiers, announces that he will not follow the family's military tradition. Under the gaze of generations of ancestors, in the shadowed halls of Paramore, the quarrel between a young man's conscience and a family's pride builds toward a night that no one in the house will forget. Perfect for listeners who enjoy classic ghost stories, Victorian psychological fiction, atmospheric gothic tales, and short stories about family, honour and conviction.
